Alert Investigation & Security Services is licensed by the Texas Private Security Bureau (TXPSB) as an investigations company and a private security provider. We received our original license in January 2008. (TXPSB License Number C14810). Our operators are licensed private investigators, Supreme Court Certified Civil Process Servers, Commissioned and non-Commissioned Security Officers and are all trained above and beyond the standard requirement by TXPSB.  

Owner / Manager, Marcus Collins Is a former Los Angeles County, California Sheriff’s Department Deputy Sheriff. Mr. Collins worked over ten (10) years with the department in various assignments including vehicle patrol, bicycle patrol, and under cover operations in many of the highest crime areas in the country.  He credits much of his success as a patrol and undercover operations deputy to his initiative as a custody deputy. While working custody assignments in the county jails, Mr. Collins took advantage of the opportunities to talk extensively with the inmates. Criminals confined to small 8’ by 10’ jail cells have nothing better to do than talk.  Mr. Collins, very early in his career, learned directly from the source, how criminals think, act and behave. He learned what their motivations are, how they select their targets, how they gather information, how they plan their criminal activities and how and where they are most likely to try and hide.

In March 2002, Mr. Collins took this knowledge with him into a new career as an Independent Security Consultant with one of the largest aerospace and defense technologies companies on the east coast. Mr. Collins received extensive additional, US Department of Defense authorized, training in terrorism, anti-terrorism, surveillance, surveillance detection, physical security and vulnerability assessments, executive protection, and photography and video evidence collection techniques. Mr. Collins has traveled extensively throughout the US and internationally applying his knowledge and experience in the tradecraft in support of many of the United States' most valued assets.
